I chose Fogmans at the time (non releasables) over rubber for the ankle support and power factor. I chose them over other hardshell systems based on the customer service at the time (Terence). I now use them because I trust the releasability factor and love the control I have over my ski.

I think the system is better than ever and I think Fogman is once again pushing forward with new technology as well as product testing and design. I think the current system is the best product Fogman has produced with great boots that are designed more specifically for skiing than any hardshell out there.

Why I choose this system over other its simply the best it the most comfort. Support from trophy lakes call any time parts serves stile. If your skiing head to head you can sit in the water as long as you want If your competitors has soft shells or other hard shell systems there feet will cramp or feel very cramped.

The Fogman binding system is a light, effective, and simple design. Being a snow skier it was easy to see the benefits of switching to hard-shell boots and the thought of never having to deal with rubber again made me very happy. I couldn't be happier with the performance of my Fogman system. It has worked flawlessly since day one.
The Fogman system is great for every level of slalom skier. For recreational through beginner course skiers the major highlights would be comfort, ease of entry/exit, safety, and simplicity of design. For hard core tournament skiers the major benefits in addition to those above are: edge control, and energy transmitted directly into the ski. Any movement you make is transmitted directly to the skis edges. The difference is shocking, obtaining and holding angle is effortless. The design also allows the ski to flex exactly how it is intended to, no flat spots to hinder the your carve. It's also nice to be able to release the buckles between passes on marathon sets!

The Fogmans supply more stability and edge control. They make me feel more comfortable while I am skiing, because of two things. First of all they are more comfortable on your feet, and second they give me a sense of security for safety reasons.

As soon as I started skiing on the Fogmans, my skiing became more solid mainly because my feet are secure in one position with no movement. They are great, because they give you more control over what happens with the ski. When you want the ski to do something, with the fogmans it will respond instantly.

I think that Hardshell Boots are the best option out there for waterskiing. The ski control, comfort, and stability of the boots are what make them the best. As well, I can do the most minor adjustments with my boots and feel a change. There is no slop, I know where my foot is the entire time, and I know it is in the same place everytime I get out on the water. That is one less thing for me to worry about while I am on the water. I have plenty of other things to worry about out there, so if I can make sure my equipment is on point, that is a huge relief for me. The heat moldable liners make the fit perfect. As well, the option to mold the shells is great too. My favorite innovation to the boot, is the ratchet straps. They have been around in snowskiing/snowboarding for awhile now so it is great to have them on my slalom.
